How much we raised: $5,060
REFLECTIONS
Karlie LorenzWorking on this campaign with Elkton Area United Services was a tremendous learning experience and privilege. Chris and I worked well together by working in a professional environment in order to reach a common goal. This service-learning project taught me just how important experiential education is. I learned content development skills, interpersonal communication skills, marketing skills, and leadership skills. Above all, this class taught me that I will not learn anything unless I step outside of my comfort zone. Volunteering and learning about the Elkton community was a true honor. I realized that by working with EAUS, I would love to do branding for non-profits.

Chris ProvantOverall, I took great pleasure working with Elkton Area United Services. Once I found out more about their mission, I found myself increasingly passionate about raising donations. I feel this class taught me how to communicate and work with a partner and outside company, and also taught me how to grow customer awareness through social media and activities. I feel the work we did helped Elkton Area United Services stay relevant in a time of constant change, and although they didn't reach their goal of $10,000 they were able to receive another $5,000 (like last year) through Great Community Give. The work Karlie and I accomplished this semester allowed for Elkton Area United Services' voice to be heard in a competitive non-profit atmosphere and it was exciting and revealing to what I'm interested in when I pursue my future careers.
